One of the best places we stayed at in Central America. Beautiful gardens, wild birds flying around, a fire pit, great drinks and everyone is exceptionally friendly. The birding tour is highly recommendable (Rolando literally knows every birdspecies and the corresponding sounds!).

I stayed with my girlfriend at D&D Brewery for 3 nights, and we extended our stay and we were relocated to another room. (Stayed in rooms H6, initially and later in room H3). The Good: - The staff were very friendly, especially Oscar and Heidi. (5 star on this department) - It's a really cool place to be (fire pit is awesome, the garden is beautiful, and liked the music selection in the morning). - Beer was good (those were my traveling reasons in the last 2 visits; one day trips just to try the beers) - The Honduran breakfast was amazing (plato típico), the hamburger was great too and the appetizers were great. The bad: - The humidity formed by the shower in H6 was unreal. Condensation would form on the bathroom floor and it wouldn't allow towels to dry. - The shower in H3 is really small that you end up hitting your elbows with the walls and flooding the whole bathroom floor. - The shower head in H3 is really low; potential shock hazard for tall people. - Understaffed (we were understanding of the large waiting times for food serving, especially in the nights when the restaurant is full, but it usually took around 40 minutes to an hour to get our foods on the table). - Stains on the bedding set of H3. - There's a need for a hand towel. (we were only provided 2 medium sized towels). Nonetheless a beautiful place, warm staff, great vibe. I really wanted to give a 5 star, but those issues really impacted our enjoyment in our stay. I would definitely go back if showers get improved! :)

Beautiful lodge amongst the jungle. Very tranquil, with great food and drinks, and especially very friendly and helpful staff! Only issue was the lack of hot water in our private room, but we used the common bathroom instead which had warm water. They have a big board with suggestions of activities you can do around the area which is very helpful. Thank you for having us!

Stunning lodge amongst nature and a peaceful scenery. D&D staff go above and beyond to ensure guests have the best time here both staying at the lodge and visiting for the day. Rooms are secure and warm for the cooler climate we had during our stay, bathrooms and communal areas are all cleaned thoroughly and the whole property has a relaxing, ambient feel. The fire pit creates a great atmosphere of a night time for meeting new people and having a drink. Unfortunately the beers were limited during our stay with only 2 on tap, no local Honduran beer or red wine for wine night however Coronas are available for a little more than places elsewhere. The tours and information board is detailed and up to date with all the information travellers need to get around. Overall the stay here was great, we booked 2 nights and stayed for 5. Would highly recommend!

Enjoyed an extended stay at D&D and give this place 5 stars++. Food: clean kitchen, large portion sizes, quality menu with extensive options. High quality coffee. Drinks: craft beer on site, what more can you ask for! Staff: gave me hugs when I arrived! Super hospitable & attentive. Owner is a legend. Decor: no matter where you stand on the property there is a canopy of trees above you. It’s gorgeous. Amenities and accessibility: Games, massage (!!!), reading shelf, nearby coffee and bus station, several trails and a lot more. Two amazing cats on site (one of them loves to cuddle, in case you get the backpacker blues.) Bonus: many of the available tours accommodate the adventurous who prefer to be self-guided (but there are also tours for those who prefer to be chauffeured). Best part: this place is rammed on the weekends with both locals and backpackers. The perfect hybrid to satiate a thirst for international flavour.
